It is an opportunity to mix innovative ideas and people, to think and collaborate.<\/p>\n<p>To know more about our vision and mission, check<a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/about\/\"> here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Museomix\u2019s mission is to let people take ownership of the museum, encouraging visitors to see museums and their collections in another way and allowing participants with wide-ranging passions and professions to meet and collaborate.<\/p>\n<p>Over 3 days, Museomix opens museums to professionals with a variety of skills. Museums become playgrounds to experiment and prototype new ways of mediating content and culture. It enables new relationships between cultural institutions and users in co-working projects. Its energy springs from the variety of its participants and contributors!<\/p>\n<h3><b>Join us for Museomix 2015!<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Calling \u00a0for participants! It\u2019s time to send \u00a0us your application (see below). Keep in mind that due to space and budget considerations, not everyone will be accepted.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Want to remix museums?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Museomix will take place over 2 week-ends : 6, 7, 8 and 13, 14, 15 of November 2015. From Friday morning to Sunday night you will collaborate in a mulitidisciplinary team to imagine and create your prototype, to encourage visitors to \u00a0visit museums in a new light, and to enable people to make the museum more their own. The prototypes created during the week-end will be presented to the public for a few more days after the event (participation is optional, but it is always interesting to show your work to the public).<\/p>\n<p>Get in there quick, you\u2019ve got until the 30th of september\u00a0to apply!<\/p>\n<p>[section titre=&#8221;Decide where you want to remix a museum&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Last year \u00a07 museums in 4 countries were remixed. In 2015, 11 museums in 5 countries will be ready to welcome you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/paris-2\/\">La Cit\u00e9 des Sciences et de l\u2019Industrie in Paris<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/roubaix-2\/\">La Manufacture in Roubaix<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/rennes-2\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e de Bretagne in Rennes<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/nice-3\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e National du Sport of Nice<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/gueret-4\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art et d\u2019Arch\u00e9ologie of Gu\u00e9ret<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/morlanwelz-2\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e Royal of Mariemont (Belgium)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/ghent\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts of Gand (Belgium)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/berne\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e de la Communication of Berne (Switzerland)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/quebec-3\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e National des Beaux-Arts of Qu\u00e9bec (Canada)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/montreal-2\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Contemporain of Montr\u00e9al (Canada)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/localisation\/mexico-2\/\">Le Mus\u00e9e du Palais des Beaux-Arts de Mexico (Mexico)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Choose your museum &#8211; and it does not have to be the closest one to you!<\/p>\n<p>[section titre=&#8221;The 6 main profiles needed&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The applications are open to all contributions that lead to the co-creation of a new experience in museums.<\/p>\n<p><b>You can find all the <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/profiles-and-skills-2014\/\"><b>details about the profiles here<\/b><\/a><b> (with examples of jobs and skills for each profile).<\/b> We established six main categories of profiles :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Making \u2013 Do it yourself !<\/li>\n<li>Mediation, interaction and users \u2013 Make a successful experience !<\/li>\n<li>Contents \u2013 Make it true scientifically !<\/li>\n<li>Communication and media \u2013 Make it know !<\/li>\n<li>Programmation and development \u2013 Make it work !<\/li>\n<li>Design \u2013 Make it beautiful !<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Just tell us what matches \u00a0you and which kind of skills you can bring to a team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Your main skill will be the expertise you&#8217;ll bring to your team during the event.<\/b> For example, if you choose \u201ccontent\u201d that means you will be in prototype\u2019s content for the 3 days.<\/p>\n<p>One more thing before applying : notice that we are looking \u00a0for a wide-range of <b>skills<\/b> than specific professionals . Choose what you like to do and what you are confident with. The main thing is to be passionate and to have the desire to co-work with fun and enthusiasm in a friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s going to happen now?<\/p>\n<p>Local communities are in charge of selecting participants. Candidates are selected according to several criteria to create balanced teams, with multidisciplinary skillsets, to boost motivation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You need to agree with the <a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/a-propos\/\">missions and principles<\/a> of Museomix.<\/li>\n<li>You apply because you want to be an agent of change, and help to transform the museum experience.<\/li>\n<li>You want to fully involve yourself for \u00a0three days, and \u00a0share a moment of creativity, generosity, good humor and invention.<\/li>\n<li>You recognize that Museomix is a community which encourages \u00a0action and is convinced that \u00a0collaboration is the best way to find solutions.<\/li>\n<li>You know that perfection doesn\u2019t exist : nights will be short, brainstormings tiring, and nerves may break down\u2026<\/li>\n<li>You understand the value of \u00a0open data and open licensing to stimulate the sharing process and reappropriation of the prototypes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can apply <b>until july 9th<\/b>. The selection process is based on people\u2019s background and origin, their former experience in Museomix, their status (professional or student). Other criteria include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your ability to contribute to the realisation of a prototype<\/li>\n<li>Your spirit and involvement with dynamic communities<\/li>\n<li>Your motivation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may also apply as a \u201cgenius\u201d or \u201cfacilitator\u201d: they monitor and assist teams on specific aspects during the 3-day event. We need as many of them as museomixers involved in teams. If you feel interested, please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/museomix.org\/en\/locations\/\">the local community<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><b> Participation Fee<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Participants have to pay 50\u20ac for France and Belgium \/ 65CHF for Switzerland\/ CAN $100 for Quebec \/ 1100 pesos for Mexico. This participation allows Museomix to be an independent non profit organisation.
