We’re peopling a model railway with stories from the past, making a signal box a hands-on experience and enabling visitors to envisage a railway network of the future!
Scenario
Our project started out as a way to engage young people in particular with the railway collections, but obviously its open for any age group who want to play! We’ve now envisaged a version for the walk-up visitor and how it could be used for a particular supported making event.
Intentions & Processes
We want to bring the railway collection to life using the stories of the people connected to it. We want to give a physical experience as well as visual and multimedia to appeal to all the senses.
